To those who don't know, a
cigar case is basically a carrier for your cigars. One key aspect of
cigar cases is it's portability. Cigar cases can be carried in quite
easily in ones jacket or suit pocket.
Over many years of refinement, cigar cases have evolved from basic
wooden carriers to extravagant totes that are fully lined on the inside
with cedar to keep the freshness and quality of the cigars.
Another case that has evolved greatly over the past few decades is the
leather cigar case. It has evolved from a soft leather pouch to a hard
leather one able to withstand decent pressure. Some of these leather
cases even come with room for your cigar lighters adding to the appeal
and portability.
There are two basic types of cigar cases: Spanish Cedar Cases and
Telescopic Cigar Cases.
The Telescopic cigar cases have convenient fingered grooves to
accommodate the cigars themselves. These cases are usually sliding cases
that can be adjusted. Most telescopic cigar cases are made of soft
leather and do not have a cedar lining.
The Spanish Cedar cases have an inner lining of cedar and uses a cedar
veneer. These types of cigar cases are usually stronger in construction
and can withstand an impact without damaging the cigars. These cigar
cases come in two parts, a top and a bottom. One part can slide into the
other depending on the construction of the cigar case itself.
Cigar cases are a convenient way to transport cigars and keep them
protected. You can find them at any local cigar shop or through various
websites on the internet.
